Palazzo Pants & How to Wear Them
Ladies...let’s talk about palazzo pants. Some of you may be thinking, “I can’t wear them. I don’t need to talk about them” or “I like them but my legs are too short”. Well, let me tell you that I disagree. Anyone can wear them. And trust me, if my short little drumsticks can pull it off, so can yours. I was hesitant too but after trying several different ones on I thought, hmmmm....I likey!
Palazzo pants are great for many reasons. First of all, they aren’t jeans. I know I know...I’m a blue jean baby too but we all need to get out of our boxes. They lend a more polished and pulled together look for daytime running around or weekend errands or even casual Friday at work without being in jeans or super dressed up. They don’t hug your body so they feel kind of like pajamas and who doesn’t love that? The paper bag waist actually makes you look pretty thin too....contrary to my initial thoughts. They can be dressed up or down; worn with heels, slides or espadrilles. Just make sure the top you choose isn’t overly flowy as it should be worn tucked in. You need balance as we most certainly don’t want to look like the Michelin Man. For the younger set, a crop swearer would be darling and for the rest of us, a basic tee works fine as would a lightweight sweater or cute sleeveless button down. They are so versatile and rest assured I will be wearing mine all summer and right into fall and most definitely on our trip to Italy. I’m not sure you should invest a great deal of money in this item though. In my opinion, it’s not a staple but a seasonal item to keep things fresh and updated. I hope I have convinced you to at least try a pair on.
